It Feels Like
This activity helps children distinguish different textures of objects by the feel of the object.
Materials:
- Shoe Box
- Colored contact paper
- Scissors
- Index cards
- Different objects with texture. Two of each (shell, sandpaper, dried clay, bubble wrap, or any other objects that can be glued.)
How to make:
Cover the top and bottom of the shoe box with contact paper. Cut a hole in the bottom part of box. Hot glue objects (1 set) onto the box. Glue second set of objects onto the index cards.
How to play:
Place a few of the index cards with objects inside the box. Have children feel the objects on the outside of the box to find matching index card.

Wheels
This activity reinforces a child's understanding of a concept in which they already worked on; recognising colors, letters, numbers, shapes and like images.
Materials:
- Poster board
- Scissors
- Brads
- Markers
- Stickers
How to make:
Cut a large circle (outer) and a smaller )inner) circle. Place brads in the middle of each circle. Place brads into both circles and fold down ends then use markers or stickers to place on one circle and corresponding markers/stickers on the other.

Children move the outer circle to match the amount of , same letter, same color or like shapes of the inner circle.

This activity helps children distinguish like colors.
Materials:
- Plates or other container of four differnt colors (red, yellow, gree and blue)
- Objects from the classroom to match the plates
How to make/play:
Gather materials and encourage children to place colored objects on the corresponding plates.

Planet Memory Game
This activity helps children understand the concept of the universe.
Materials:
- Pictures of the planets (2 each)
- Construction paper cut into squares
- Glue
- Scissors
How to make:
Cut pictures out and glue onto construction paper squares. make two sets.
How to play:
Children place cards face down on the table. Then turn two cards over. If they match set the pair to the side. If no match turn the cards face down and it is the next childs turn.

This activity demonstrates the different means of transportation.
Materials:
- Poster board (3)
- Pictures of different modes of transportation (cars, buses, trucks, plane, boats)
- Index cards

How to make:
Cut out transporation pictures and glue to index cards. Draw scenes onthe poster boards to show the different areas of travel.

How to play:
Children will place the different vehicles on the corresponding area of travel (car on land, boat on sea, etc.).

Counting Flowers
This activity provides practice of math skills by counting out the number of flowers that match the numeral card.

Materials:
- Flower pattern
- Craft sticks
- Index cards numbered 1-10
- Scissors
- Tape
- Markers
- Box cutter
- Milk carton
- Felt
- Hot glue gun

How to make:
Wash out milk carton, dry out, fold down open top flat and tape closed. Glue green felt to cover outside of milk carton. Cut out flowers and glue onto felt. Cut out flowers and glue onto felt. Cut ten small slots in top of box to make a planter. Cut out a total of ten flower patterns and color with markers. Glue colored flowers onto craft sticks.

How to play:
A child lays numbered index cards upside down on table. Lay flowers out on the table. The child then picks a card, says the number and counts out the amount of flowers to match the numbered card. As the child counts them out he or she places them into the slots of the planter.
